Anyone interested in a mobile navigation system is faced with a seemingly endless variety of possible devices from different manufacturers. And each manufacturer also offers a wide variety of systems within its own line.That prompted Drive it! to test the full range of devices offered by 8 producers, from cheap, entry level models, to the top of the line. We tested them using several criteria from speed of route calculation to ease of installation to find out whether cost really is an indication of performance.

With its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show, October 2009 - Porte de Versailles, the Saab 9-X Air highlighted a whole thought-through concept for seamless communications between the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 and the car system. Once synchronized with the Xperia X1, the 9-X Air onboard system displays information from the phone via the dashboard to the driver, ie the route towards the Paris Motor Show as well as some tips for bars and restaurants to stop by along the way.
