VZ Navigator has at least 11 features that Google does not: (1) spoken traffic alerts and detours on the spot; (2) Navigation in 3D mode; (3) Sings as Real; (4) Lane Guidance; (5) Exit Views, (6) Facebook integration; (7) Custom Voices; (8) Cheapest Gas Stations nearby you; (9) Movies playing nearby you; (10) Weather in your location and at your destination; (11) Local Events (concerts, etc) near you.

Google already has all these features. Why would anyone pay $10 a month extra for this junk.

I hate you sometimes VZW. You better have a dual core phone coming out with an unlocked bootloader or I will change carriers. No VZW person will read this or care, if they do, they hate the root community anyway.

I hate how Verizon tries to force this crap upon us. I’m sure they will pre-load this garbage onto new phones. As always, I won’t buy a phone I can’t root and remove this junk from.

And seriously Verizon who uses Bing?

If you have a droid phone and let Verizon rape you for $10 a month for VZ navigator you are a complete moron. Still waiting on my credits from the class action lawsuit from those “mysterious data charges”. How about a Droid phone without all your bloatware?

Dear Verizon Wireless… I direct your attention to EC8CH’s comment on DroidLife’s blog post about this “new” app:

    “Note to wireless carriers:
Stop working on apps, just work on providing a network that we can send data through.

    Note to hardware manufactures:
Stop working on your own OS, just work on providing quality hardware to put stock android on.

Note to the cast of Jersey Shore:
Stop it… just stop it. “

SprintNav/TeleNav is included with their Data Everything package. Only thing different is the “virtual city”. Who needs a freaking “virtual city” to use gps?

I would totally pay for VZNavigator if it weren’t so expensive. Maybe $3.99 for an individual line or $9.99 for 3 lines? It’s just not worth the money otherwise. Google Maps has free navigation.

@eaturcrap maybe it was designed off an unreleased update of gingerbread….

Nah, it’s probably just bad shoping…

eaturcrap just FYI it’s real app on real device and no Photoshop - all pictures are real!
Yes, Google is free, just don’t forget that it tracks you, watch The Beast File: Google before you think about Google Nav .
Also don’t forget that Google has no 3D Virtual cities in Navigation.

That’s some BAD photoshop you used on the Droid X.
The notification bar on the Droid X is white, the one you gave it was black.
Do you homework, I mean come on, it’s your fucking phone.

    Google Maps Navigation: Free
    VZ Navigator: Not free
End of story, Google Maps is better.
