T-Mobile Garmin-Asus Garminphone hands-on
T-Mobile unveiled their Garminfone today, and we went hands on with the new Android phone from Garmin-Asus. It features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, 3G data, 3-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi and a hot-swappable microSD card slot. The focus is on GPS navigation, so it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, but the build quality is impressive.

@KatyRocksYo well if you have a 2 year plan and you plan to upgrade your phone…this phone is 99.99
This looks expensive D: how much is it now currently for the usa? D; particulary cali?

good review
how is a mini usb port strange?
I just bought the phone the other day, so far its a really nice phone. It does technically have a 3.5mm jack with the adapter which isn’t to big of a deal for me. Good review =)
@busyguy1994 thanks. i appreciate the help.
@DudeOverdosed go to the Xda forums they have tons of android hacks I’m sure they can teach you how to do it..
@busyguy1994 yeah i figured. been looking all over the web to figure out how to do it but i’ve yet to find anyone that’s tried it.
@DudeOverdosed If you root it or jailbreak you can install any android “Rom” which means that you can install The nexus one (Rom) and Etc..
can it run the new Android OS? is there any way to install it?
I was the 1st person to buy one at my local store and I LOVE it. I have a work issued iPhone that really did not impress me, but the Garminfone is excellent in every way that the iPhone is not - volume is great (including ringer and notifications). Free apps to put contacts into groups. GPS is very strong - stronger than our dedicated GPS. A huge plus to the GPS is the simplicity of finding local events, gas prices, etc.. without having to enter the info.
It’s funny to watch these clips and realize how has access to the new phone. With the Garminfone for example, it was realized to the public last week, yet most Garmin employees have yet to even see it (unless they’ve gone out and bought it).
its pronounced ACE- US, not AY- ZEUS lmao
@ponchobrimhall It’s running 1.6.
I was thinking about leaving T-mobile but idk anymore.
