Bing Mobile Navigation on the Dash 3G
Windows Mobile Standard doesn’t get much love these days, but the latest Bing Mobile brings great voice prompted GPS Navigation features to the platform.

Well this is good for Microsoft, a map app on a standard OS. Nothin wrong with that cuz I’m really getting tired of these Android hop-on’s. Before Amdroid google was just a search engine and now it’s so called the best thing ever. Microsoft has been delivering products for years and now keeping up with competition is copying? Come on now. Nobody was complaining this much about them like 2 years ago.
Why are you in your car ? Did you get kicked out by your wife ?
@rinx1
I guess you didn’t understand the statement.
@KidBajan YouTube will send you an “Email” when someone responds on your post. I can get your Email address from here…
@rickhamilton620 Yeah i have and yeah the app him self is free but let me know one thing… Lets use it in a other language. Like Dutch. Lets see what he ask you…
@rinx1
Dude, all I did was ask a question. No need to go email on me.
@rinx1 Um no, Bing maps is free, you can get it from Windows Mobile Marketplace for FREE! Do you even OWN a Win Mo phone?
@andStack Bing Maps isn’t free you will learn that later… MapQuest is not the same as Google Maps… Google Maps have Street view, satellite view and Google Earth(browser version) Google Maps, and My Quest have copy that from Google Maps…
And may it is right… But Microsoft is Copying free stuff from Google and Linux and sell them for money… And that is not right… That is scam.
I gotta agree with the reviewer on this. Windows mobile Standard dosent see much love these days. good vid.
This is cool but the screen is too small..
@rinx1 Bing Maps is free, Google Maps wasn’t the first mapping application, and if Google didn’t copy MapQuest (’96) then there’d be no Google Maps (’05).
Did you even read what I posted? Point was that there’s nothing wrong with copying. You didn’t address that.
I’m not saying this app is better or that Microsoft didn’t copy it. Microsoft is making a phone OS that IS different from Android and iPhone OS and if they want to compete they need a maps app. There is nothing wrong with that.
@KidBajan You want to know why? In the past hotmail was browser app and Gmail 2… but when Google made a pack for “Google Desktop” “Google Gmail” and that kind of stuff Microsoft came with: Windows Live… with “Hotmail” and “Vista Desktop” Now “Vista Desktop” has been deleted because Vista was the most stupid OS ever made…
You are so stupid you can’t see that Microsoft wants money for a new theme in windows…
@andStack Android and iPhone OSX are different: Android is Open Source, Android is free to use, Android is Linux Kernel. But Bing is a Copy of Google because: Google Maps was first and they copy it…. There is nothing better… Everything is the some… Only the URL and the theme of the site is changed….
Google is much much better then Microsoft… They make the things first for free and microsoft only copy them and sell them for money… Go to hell Microsoft…
awfull… great video though
um…
@truckcompany I enjoy these videos though. They’re informative and nominally entertaining.
@truckcompany I have a T-Mobile Dash, I find that it has no functionally significance compared to devices on the market today; especially touchscreen Android/iPhone devices. The battery, from my experience, depletes very easily. It stalls like no other. It takes forever to boot. I judge because I own the device and have a valid point. It’s my opinion. Make your own and I wouldn’t mind. To each his own.
@doitdeviant
He’s using the old operating systems so don’t judge it on that
Thanks for doing stuff with this phone! It’s the one I use
I really don’t see how this is easier than a touchscreen, but that’s up to the individual.
woah thats pretty sweet, i wish i never sold my htc snap now
@rinx1
How is Windows Live a copy of Google Pack?
@rinx1 I said you were bitching not that you’re a bitch.
Everyone in the tech industry and that forces people to make better products. Gmail is a copy of hotmail but it’s better. If they decided to do something new because email had been done before then gmail wouldn’t exist and hotmail wouldn’t have reasons to get better. Android competes with the iPhone. Is it copying? Sure but there’s nothing wrong with that. How can Microsoft make better phones if they don’t put a maps app on them?
Boring…
@andStack The only bitch here is you. List:
New - Copy
Google Search - Bing Search
Google Maps - Bing Maps
YouTube/Google Video - Bing Video
Google Pack - Windows Live
Microsoft is just copying everything that Google/Apple/Linux are making. Thats why i’m “bitching” Microsoft most make something by them self… They have never made something by them self… And the “bitches” like you that are buying this copy’s are highlighted!
Burn Microsoft BURN!!!
