Google Maps on the Nokia 5800
UPDATE: since a lot of people commenting on this video are apparently unable to search the Internet for simple answers to simple questions, here is some information about Google Maps. 1) You can download Google Maps for free by visiting this link with your phone’s web browser: www.google.com 2) You must have an Internet connection too use Google Maps. It works with both WiFi and/or GPRS/EDGE (2G) & /UMTS/HDSPA (3G) mobile networks. It uses both the built-in GPS and/or mobile networks for positioning. 3) To use Google Maps on mobile networks you must have a data plan with your phone carrier/operator. This can be expensive, so be careful. WiFi is generally free. ******** Here is a little video demonstration of Google Maps with Street View on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Now compare this with the non-touch version! See? S60v5 is pretty cool

are maps free on phones? and do all phones have it or only some of them?

Hey guys could you help me? I can’t use internet on my nokia 5800.Usually when i open “Web” there are 2 options : “Search ATWL” or “Wind Web” this happened till yesterday. Yesterday there was only “Search Wlan” and today it says “Cannot connect to intere try again. Please help me…(Sorry for bad english <.<)

thx for this awsome video.. i just installed google maps on my 5800xp ,and i don`t know how to stay connected to wifi and still enter google maps cuz., i`m connected to a wifi connection enter google maps and tells me that i need a connection..help please:) thx
I don’t have the option of “Street View” in my Google Maps!!
If you increase the google cache can you use the GPS offline- with google maps you have saved in the cache? Thanks.
actually n5800 is tft touchscreen :p
nokia is dedicated more of a smart phone feature than a mobile pc like apple.. they both have downgrades.. nokia uses resistive touch screen technology and apple is capacitive touchscreen so they really differ..

If u want google maps go to google type ib google maps for mobile on ur nokia 5800 abd download from there. (u need a google account so u can use the maps for more stuff on it)
Alright but i gave so much trouble with the internet on the nokia 5800 when it says it is free but i am getting chArged through wifi from vodafone
It depends where you zoom - some places have more data than others.
For the nth time, it’s free to download! Of course you’ll need data service on your mobile account for the maps to load - cost varies depending on your plan…
