Bing Navigation in Action

Here’s a video of this morning’s Bing for Windows Mobile beta upgrade that adds free text-to-speech voice prompt navigation instructions. If you’ve got the Bing Beta on your device already, you can upgrade via the Update menu or by visiting m.bing.com in your phone’s browser. Not all Windows Mobile devices may be supported at this time.

The voice is more on par with Garmin than Google’s atrocious sounding robot voice.

@banstaman Yes, traffic updates for free. One of the navigation options is to avoid traffic.

The UI on it is much nicer than Google Maps. Except the search area.

    South of Irvington?
You live like 30 mins away from me. Bing Maps was great on my HD2, but I will always prefer CoPilot.
I’ll have to see how the Google Maps Navigation compares on my new N1 in a few days.

@banstaman Yes, the map displays real-time traffic and the route avoids traffic based on current conditions.

Does it come with traffic updates?
