The software is fee from the Garmin website don’t get scamed…..the only thing you will have to ay for are the maps
There is no service..this runs off your microsd card. You do have to pay for the maps.
do you have to pay for service or does the pharos do this auto??? and do you need to save maps onto a memory card to receive directions???

Hey man. sick video. I just need the receiver to get this thing to run. Are there better options than the Pharos 500 or can I use a cheaper one? Any reason u chose the Pharos? Thanks dude.
i didnt write anything about $11 bucks. One of the guys wrote he got a memory card to put google maps on for 11 bucks. garmins software is 100 bucks but u can find it around the web.

okay to make this work u need
1. a windows mobile smartphone
2. garmin mobile xt software
3. an external blue tooth gps receiver (or if ur phone has internal gps like blackjack 2, HTC Tilt, etc…)
Thats is no, phone service required, no data plan, no monthly charges thats it.
doesnt require data plan, u do need a software either, garmin, tom tom, delarome street atlas….etc
The almera is the eurpoean wagon version of this, its actually a Nissan Sentra.

Hey, how did you manage to mount your Dash in your car? I want to do something similar.
But you have a PDA. T-Mobile dash only comes with Live Search but it sucks. check out my videos by searching Boricuaxlink and you’ll see how i did it.

its not google maps its the garmin mobile XT it works really good only 11 bucks if you have a PDA phone that you can put a SD card in then your ready to go myself i have a garmin GPS system thats how i no it was not google maps and its free if your phone has GPS already in it
Alright, so I buy a T-mobile dash. I then buy one of these pharos GPS receivers + bluetooth docking station. Now I need some kind of software to make the maps, correct? It looks like you’re using google maps, wouldn’t this require a data usage plan from t-mobile? Thanks!
get the gps receiver off of ebay got mine brand used/like new for $45.00 got the charger from the dollar store! Garmin software use Google!
