    g1 flaws:
    mini usb headphone jack
no multitouch (you can hack it, but it sucks)
    no stereo bluetooth
    no video capture
    keyboard is awkward

what is bad about the g1? as far as i can tell its WAY better than the iPhone POS. I mean the iPhone is ENTIRELY hype created by apple, they pay so much for advertising, almost ever headunit for cars with a usb port says “iPod ready”.

opera only has opera mini for the g1, which is the same browser you can use on your grandma’s “flip phone”. it’s shit and its slow, use the built in browser. Do your research before getting a g1, they’re definitely not for everyone.

Can I get that stuff in the android market? I don’t have a g1 yet, considering it. What about operas Internet browser? I hear they make really good ones

not at the moment- its still “in progess”. The only way you can view flash on a mobile phone is with windows mobile or symbian running skyfire.

I had the same choice and went for the G1 and absolutley love it. Nearly all the apps are free. Google mail/contacts works like a dream. Download Meebo and you have IM. Its such a customizable device too. Its like having a laptop in your pocket. Top phone, get one.

You know…the only thing that turns me off is the fact that you HAVE TO pay the extra $20 for internet. There is no option…you actually have to pay extra. I think I’ll go for the curve 8900 because of that fact and I think the curve is more attractive…but thanks for your input.
